Two Chinese nationals were arrested after authorities seized around ₱1.2 million worth of unregistered laundry fabric softener products from a warehouse in San Simon, Pampanga.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-National Capital Region (CIDG-NCR), in coordination with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Philippine Air Force, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Military Intelligence Unit, conducted the operation on October 12.
Authorities identified the suspects as the incorporator and supervisor of a chemical manufacturing company.
According to the CIDG, the two were caught storing and selling fabric softener products without FDA registration and a License to Operate.
The operation was carried out under a search warrant for violations of the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009.
