Bangkok, Thailand – Team Philippines will showcase their talents in the scheduled dates of their respective sports in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand today, December 10.
1,600 athletes, including rising starts, multi-time medalists, and veterans of their sports will compete and try to win medals.
Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio and Philippine Olympic Committee President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino expressed their deepest support for the athletes that will represent the Philippines.
The first Philippine medalist goes to John Derick Farr, who won the Bronze Medal in the Mountain Bike Downhill category.
The next is Justin Kobe Macario who won the Gold medal in the Male individual freestyle poomase category.
Also the Women’s Sepak Takraw Team who claimed the bronze medal.
OPENING CEREMONY OF 33RD SEA GAMES HELD YESTERDAY
In the opening ceremony last night December 9, Tennis Star Alex Eala and Volleyball Men’s Star Bryan Bagunas led Team Philippines as the flagbearers.
With that, fans are thrilled to see and witness their white uniform that was carved by Avel Bacudio called “Laro ng Lahi”.
The support of pinoy fans were felt inside the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, in what will be an exciting, and competitive tournament.—Kyle Basa, Eurotv News
