TRUMP EXTENDS PAUSE ON US STRIKES ON IRAN POWER GRIDS BY 10 DAYS

Washington, USA — United States President Donald Trump has once again delayed planned attacks on Iran’s energy facilities.

In a new post on Truth Social, Trump announced that the pause on strikes targeting Iran’s power grids will be extended to 10 days, until April 6 at 8 PM (Eastern time).

He said the decision was made following what he described as a request from the Iranian side.

This marks the second time the president has pushed back the threat.

Over the weekend, Trump warned that the U.S. would strike Iran’s power grid if the Strait of Hormuz was not fully reopened within 48 hours.

However, on March 23, he shifted course and ordered a five-day pause, which has now been extended.

In the same Truth Social post, Trump insisted that talks are ongoing and said they are “going very well,” despite reports and denials from what he described as “others” and the “fake news media.”

Iranian officials have earlier rejected those claims, calling reports of negotiations “fake news.”

One official also described the U.S. proposal to end the war as “one-sided and unfair,” according to international reports.

Meanwhile, Trump has previously revealed the U.S. is in contact with what he calls the “right people” in Iran, even suggesting there has been a change in leadership, although he has not identified who they are.

He then mentioned receiving what he described as a “gift” related to oil and gas from these individuals.

And speaking at a cabinet meeting on Thursday, Trump elaborated that this “gift,” involved Iran allowing around 10 oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, which he described as a positive development.
