Manila, Philippines – Following the invitation of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Paraguayan President Santiago Peña Palacious is scheduled to visit the country on May 11, 2026.
In a statement issued by the Malacañang Palace, President Peña will be accorded official honors during his state visit at the Malacañang Palace.
Marcos and Peña are also scheduled to have a bilateral meeting to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and mutual development between the Philippines and Paraguay.
Peña’s visit to the country is a milestone to deepen bilateral relations between the Philippines and Paraguay, as this the first presidential visit between the two country.
The visit is also aimed at expanding cooperation in various sectors such as trade and investment and agriculture.
It also demonstrates the Philippines’ continued efforts to expand its relations with Latin American countries and diversify the Philippines’ economic partnership.
