MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The five cast members who will star in the queer theater play “Last Dance: Hubo’t Hubad” were officially introduced during the press launch. The production is led by World Theater Production Guam/Manila and Japs Collectives.
According to Japs Collectives and Halxyon Club CEO Patrick Cabading, also known as Jappy, Japs Collectives is a creative production group that brings together artists, performers, and collaborators to develop theater, arts, cultural, and community-centered experiences.

He added: “Halxyon Club serves as the production’s official venue and provides operational, technical, and promotional support. As an LGBTQIA+ inclusive entertainment and creative space, Halxyon Club believes that the club can be more than just nightlife. It can also be a platform for theater, culture, and meaningful community stories.”
The theater play will be directed by a multi-talented German-Filipino actor, singer, director, and artistic leader who has had an extensive career in various parts of Europe and Asia.

When asked about the inspiration behind Last Dance, he explained that the story is “for everywhere.” It reportedly began with a simple curiosity about what brought people into such situations or what happens behind the stage, including the circumstances that pushed them toward that path, as well as their dreams, fears, hopes, and weaknesses.

Gerald Magallanes will portray Ace, “The Fearless One”; Paolo Domingo as Jay, “The Dreamer”; John Segui as Dodong, “The Heart of the Group”; Kriszan Manipon as Mark, “The Veteran”; and Robbie Padilla as Rafa, “The Quiet Soul.”
The media launch also featured the official trailer of “Last Dance: Hubo’t Hubad.”
Meanwhile, tickets for the play are available for ₱500 for standing, ₱600 for side seating, and ₱700 for front seating, and may be purchased through Ticket2Me.
The premiere will be held on September 29, followed by performances on October 1, 6, 8, 13, and 15. Special screenings will take place on October 17, 20, 22, 27, and 29.
