PSHS-MAIN CAMPUS SUSPENDS F2F CLASSES OVER ILI

The Philippine Science High School (PSHS) Main Campus in Diliman, Quezon City, has suspended face-to-face classes on October 19 and 20 due to increasing reports of influenza-like illnesses (ILI) in the school community.

According to the school’s advisory, the suspension is a precautionary measure to protect students and personnel.

“Alternative learning modes will be implemented and faculty members will work from home,” PSHS said.

Meanwhile, club and homeroom meetings on Friday, October 16, will be conducted online, but the scheduled card-giving activity will proceed.

“Parents of students with below-passing grades may claim their children’s report cards and consult with teachers. Report cards for students without below-passing grades may be released once face-to-face classes resume.”

The school also announced that dormitory residents, except those going home with their parents after parent-teacher conferences, may leave after classes on Thursday, October 15.

Students, faculty, and staff have been advised to immediately report flu-like symptoms to the school’s Health Services Unit or consult with its designated physician.
