Manila, Philippines – Ahead of the Christmas rush, a new centralized ride-hailing hub has opened at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion.
Launched on Dec. 8 by the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), private operator of NAIA, the Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) hub offers over 400 parking slots and 18 loading bays for ride-hailing services.
NNIC General Manager Lito Alvarez emphasized that the new TNVS will enhance the passenger experience, especially during this holiday season.
“Overall magi-improve ang passenger experience. Sa ating mga kababayan na mag-travel, unawain niyo na marami kaming ginagawa rito. Unti-unti lamang at mafi-feel niyo nang husto ang initiatives,” he said in a statement.
Services like Grab Philippines began full-scale operations at the hub on Dec. 8, while JoyRide will start operations on Dec. 10 today.
“Grab is happy to support the NNIC, of their objectives, of their continuous improvement especially at the terminals at NAIA,” Grab Director for Mobility EJ dela Vega said.
Angkas will also participate in the transport hub with its four-wheeled ride service, “Angcars.”
“This initiative is a win for travelers, drivers, and airport efficiency alike,” said George Royeca, CEO of Angkas.
The same system is also planned for T1 and T2, also T4, yet is currently undergoing renovation.
Meanwhile, hundreds of personnel were already designated to assist travelers in case of inquiries.
