ACTOR GENE HACKMAN, WIFE, DISCOVERED DEAD IN THEIR HOME; CAUSE OF DEATH UNDER INVESTIGATION

New Mexico, United States — Authorities are still conducting investigation on the said suspicious death of actor Gene Hackman and his wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, who were both found dead in their home in New Mexico on Wednesday.

Officials said that a maintenance worker called emergency services upon discovering the bodies of the two, unalive, in their home.

Hackman, 95, was discovered in a side room near the kitchen area, while his wife, Arakawa, was found in a bathroom.

A German Shepherd dog owned by the couple was also found dead in a bathroom closet near Arakawa.

According to the initial reports, the couple seems to have been dead for quite a while, around 9 or 10 days, when they were discovered.

A detective noted that Arakawa’s body showed signs of decomposition and mummification in the hands and feet.

The authorities found the whole case suspicious, especially that there were no signs of injury on the couple.

Both were also negative in a carbon monoxide poisoning test.

The authorities, however, do not rule out a possible foul play in the incident.

In recent developments of the investigations, tha maintenance worker who discovered the couple reported that the front door of the property was open when they came by.

However, detectives observed no sign of forced entry, no indication of struggle, and it does not look like there has been a crime inside.

Autopsy and toxicology tests have been requested for the couple, but it could take a few months before results may be released.
