K-POP BOY GROUP EXO RETURNS TO PHILIPPINES AFTER 7 YEARS

Manila, Philippines — ‘Worth the wait!’

This was all EXO-Ls could say as the K-pop boy group EXO made their grand comeback to the Philippines for their major concert, ‘EXhOrizon,’ held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena just this July 4.

Although only five members were present—Suho, Chanyeol, Kai, Sehun, and D.O.—the MOA Arena was filled with deafening screams from EXO-Ls who had long been waiting for the group’s return to the country.

In his opening statement, Suho expressed his heartfelt gratitude to their Filipino fans for their unwavering support for the group over the years.

“I know how much of you guys missed us, and I can say that we really miss you more than you did. Do you know EXO’s motto? We are one. If you enjoy this concert until the end, I’m sure that when the show is over, we will be one. Really one,” he said.

Meanwhile, other EXO members—Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin—were unable to join the concert due to ongoing contract issues with SM Entertainment.

Nevertheless, nostalgia filled the entire arena as EXO performed the songs that defined their journey as a group, bringing joy to fans since their debut in 2012.

The group wrapped up the concert on an emotional note, performing their side tracks “Paradise“ and “Flatline,“ songs that prove they will always be recognized for their passion for music and stage performance.—Allen Ruado, Contributor
