DELA ROSA SURRENDERS 20 FIREARMS TO PNP

Manila, Philippines — The Philippine National Police confirmed that Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa has surrendered 20 of his firearms through his camp.

In a statement, PNP said that the firearms where surrendered from a residence in Davao City addressed to Dela Rosa, through his authorized legal representative in coordination with the Regional Civil Security Unit 11.

Upon turn over, PNP assured that all the firearms are accounted for, properly recorded, and were issued with acknowledgement receipts before they were transported to the RCSU 11 office in Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecifo, Buhangin, Davao City, and are now under the official custody of the police.

On May, the PNP Firearms and Explosives Office issued a Notice and Order of Revocation of License to Own FireArms for the 117 firearms named under Dela Rosa, ordering the cancellation of its registrations.

The revocation notice is amid the active arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court issued against Dela Rosa, after he was named as a co-perpetuator in the crimes against humanity case of former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

Presently, the authorities are conducting operations to locate Dela Rosa’s whereabouts who was last seen on May 14 after he escaped the Senate Premises.

Before this, Dela Rosa was absent for about seven months, as he was in hiding since November 2025 following Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla’s announcement that the ICC had issued an arrest warrant against the senator.—Mia Layaguin, Eurotv News
